We are back with our podcast series, Desertification Island Discs where we chat with awesome sustainability professionals about their experience in the industry and the songs and gadgets they would take with them into a hypothetical doomed 2050 Britain. From plastic novelties, costumes and decorations, items around the different seasonal celebrations and festivities are often bought to allow maximum convenience which comes with an invisible price tag - single use plastic that is not recycled.

There hasn’t been a huge ‘fanfare’ about it, but we feel this milestone should be celebrated, particularly as it was nearly an opportunity missed through continued delays from the negotiating down of key recycling targets and Brexit.

• Step 1 – Develop the sustainability baseline and accurate picture of ‘Now’. We are talking materiality, risk analysis business case for sustainability, direct and in-direct impacts.
