There’s no question that the last few months have been tough for most businesses, ours included. But we are delighted to be investing in a brighter future with the addition of 4 new recruits to the Technics team.
Technics have adapted their procedures and have been operating throughout this very challenging period. With a reduced workforce, we have been able to continue to deliver critical data to our clients. The projects we have delivered include HS2, retail (food), and the NHS. Throughout, we have followed the Government social distancing guidelines. We have collaborated with our clients who have been very proactive in providing the necessary support to our teams to enable them to work safely on their sites. Also, thanks to the technology we utilise, we can work remotely and in isolation of people on site. All our surveyors have remained healthy throughout this time.
Technics continue to follow the guidelines from the UK Government to ensure we protect the health of others, especially the vulnerable.
This year’s London Build conference and exhibition was a great success for Technics, and we were pleased to have so many visitors to our stand.
Once again, Technics has chosen to support Challengers as our Christmas charity, which advocates for inclusivity in play for disabled children and young people.
Technics has been working with Thomson Habitats over the last 18 months on a pioneering ‘green corridor’ wildlife project being delivered alongside Britain’s new high speed rail line, HS2. We spoke with Simon Mackrell, Director at Thomson Habitats, to learn more about how Technics supported the project, including highlights and challenges, and future plans for the company.
The Technics team is looking forward to seeing many of you at London Build from 27 to 28 November at Olympia in London.
We’re pleased to report that Technics has this week taken delivery of a new suction excavator.
Harry Brain is one of Technics’ most recent recruits, having joined us six months ago as a land and building Trainee Surveyor. We asked him what motivated him to join the industry, what useful advice he has received, and his thoughts on the Technics’ attitude towards learning and development.
