Consumers are asked to support many cause marketing campaigns from large and small brands alike on a daily basis. With the number of companies aligning business with cause increasing, there’s a lot of noise to overcome when vying for attention and engaging audiences in your company’s campaign. This competition should not deter you from pursuing a cause campaign, but it begs the question, what can you do to be unique?
Today, PRWeek announced the shortlist for the 2017 PRWeek Awards and BRG Communications has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Boutique Agency category. We are honored to be recognized in this national category along with four other agencies. PRWeek Awards, known as the highest accolade in the PR industry, celebrate the best of the best corporate, agency, nonprofit and education teams, and the work they produced during the entry period.
In June, we kicked off, Cause for a Celebration, in honor of BRG’s 15th anniversary. Through, Cause for a Celebration, BRG team members identified a local nonprofit that is important to them to be eligible to receive a $15,000 donation from BRG.
Most corporations are aware of the positive impacts of CSR and have already implemented these practices into their business. However, there is still a lot that can be done to incorporate key audiences, including employees, customers and other stakeholders, and build brand reputation. It’s imperative for companies to not only have CSR programs, but communicate the values and achievements of these efforts.

Think of location-based advertising as a digital point of sale. It allows you to reach consumers or donors when and where they are most likely to make a decision and take action.
