Fièra Cosmetics, a global online beauty brand specifically designed for mature skin, announced today a charitable milestone of one million meals donated to people in need throughout the United States and Canada. With every purchase placed through their website, the company donates a meal through their charitable partnerships with two leading food rescue organizations: Food Rescue US and Second Harvest Canada. These organizations work to recover nutritious unsold food and deliver to people in need, while reducing food waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

The New York Times has highlighted Food Rescue US and rescuing food as one of the nine ideas to make the world a better place.

Donald Cariati, along with Cariati Developers, Inc., today announced a $41,000 food donation that will be provided to the national food recovery nonprofit, Food Rescue US. The food donation, consisting of over 27,000 pounds of lentils, will be distributed through Food Rescue US locations in Anne Arundel County, MD and Washington D.C. This donation will help support various social service agencies, including the Muslim American Center, The Church at Seven Run, Iglesia Cristiana Nuevo Jardin, Harvest Resources, Iglesia Roca de Los Siglos, and West Annapolis Pop Up Pantry, that offer support to food insecure individuals throughout Maryland and D.C. 

Food Rescue US locations in Maine, Detroit, and Washington D.C partnered with The Farmlink Project to rescue more than 335,000 pounds of excess purple potatoes from a farm in Maine, ensuring they did not go to waste.
