On April 26, representatives of Project FIND leadership and the Ailey Organization gathered to observe an AileyDance for Active Aging class in action. Ailey's Teaching Artists, Amos Machanic and Lorena Jaramillo led an exciting and informative session with their class of approximately 30 Project FIND participants. It was an uplifting preview of the residency in progress through June. New participants are welcome and encouraged to join the residency before it ends. Project FIND helped thirty of its participants and residents access the COVID Booster on Wednesday, April 19.

Public health emergency Covid-19 programs, like no-cost vaccinations and testing services, are scheduled to end in May. With this in mind, Project FIND is hosting a Vaccine Booster Clinic at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 19 at the Hamilton Older Adult Center located at 141 West 73rd Street in Manhattan. The event is open to older adults, their family, friends, and caregivers.
According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services- "This year nearly 90% of Covid-19 deaths nationwide have occurred among people 65 years and older, with 70% occurring among those age 75 and older.”
If you are not boosted, we encourage you to do so.

Grub Hub's Serving the City Initiative! Representatives from Grub Hub, Council Member Keith Powers' office and Blank Slate partnered to provide Woodstock Center attendees with an amazing assortment of Buffalo Chicken and Roast Turkey sandwiches and fresh salads for lunch today. We can't thank Grub Hub, Council Member Powers and Blank Slate (for preparing the meals) enough for all that you have provided!
