From 11th-13th July, the community sports and recreation industry will congregate in Melbourne, en masse for the first time in three years to re-connect with a focus on growing participation sustainably and inclusively at the National Sports & Physical Activity Convention (NSC22).
With the environmental challenges of climate change highlighted at COP26 at the end of last year, the NSC is bringing some of the globes’ leading Thought Leaders to share compelling insights of what sport can do; and within limited resources.

At last evenings NSC Oration in Melbourne, the Australian Sport, Recreation and Play Innovation Award winners for 2021 were announced. Recognising the challenges of the Covid pandemic, last night the industry celebrated its own with the awards being presented by the President of Paralympics Australia, Jock O’Callaghan.

There is only 1 week to go before the first sessions of the 2021 National Sports & Physical Activity Convention begin. Starting Thursday 11th November with the first of four live streamed Keynote Sessions at 9.00am AEDT will be the theme of A Bold Agenda for Managing Sport, followed by the release of seven on-demand sessions at 10.30am AEDT. The National Sports & Physical Activity Convention (NSC) is pleased to confirm that this year’s event, scheduled 9-11 November, has now been realigned to meet the industry’s needs during Covid. The new format aims to redefine the future of industry conferences by offering a combination that flexible on-demand options, virtual and interactive keynote sessions, in-person networking and hundreds of hours of extended interviews and access to industry knowledge in the NSC Academy.

The National Sports & Physical Activity Convention are proud to launch their NSC Academy, aimed at providing access to insights, knowledge, global policy and advocacy. With support of the NSC collaborators who have provided significant content to share with delegates, the NSC Academy aims to provide significant added value to speakers, delegates, sponsors and collaborators as part of their registration until the 30th June 2022.
