Carrying the Torch

At MojoTech, we have a long history of working on, contributing to, and using various open-source software projects. A sample of early projects include Cerberus, one of the first Ruby-based Continuous Integration tools; Capybara-UI, a Capybara abstraction making it easier to define reusable DOM page objects; Mojo-Database, an early Objective-C ORM for SQLite that provided an ActiveRecord-like adapter; MarionetteJS, a popular JavaScript framework built on top of BackboneJS; and Jeet, a CSS grid system.

MojoTech Git Workflow

We've yet to give our readers a "peek behind the curtain" and discuss some of the ins and outs of our engineering practices at MojoTech. In this post, I'd like to begin to talk about some of our practices and the way we work from an engineering perspective.

A Decade of Rails

Here at MojoTech, we are lucky to have several engineers who have used Ruby on Rails from very early on in its history. For me personally, the year 2016 will mark a full decade of using Rails for application development. In total, we have four Mojos who were using Rails in those very early days, and while we now use many different programming languages and tools, the early days of MojoTech were established as a "Rails shop".
