PayPal is giving customers the chance to win $10,000 each week, as well as thousands of other prizes, by simply making a donation or shopping with PayPal this holiday season. In his landmark new book, The Matter with Things, Dr. Iain McGilchrist argues that we have become enslaved to an account of things dominated by the brain’s left hemisphere, one that blinds us to an awe-inspiring reality that is all around us, had we but eyes to see it. He suggests that in order to understand ourselves and the world we need science and intuition, reason and imagination, not just one or two; that they are in any case far from being in conflict; and that the brain’s right hemisphere plays the most important part in each. And he shows us how to recognize the ‘signature’ of the left hemisphere in our thinking, so as to avoid making decisions that bring disaster in their wake.

In September, Dr. Helané Wahbeh, IONS Director of Research, released her groundbreaking book The Science of Channeling: Why You Should Trust Your Intuition and Embrace the Force That Connects Us All, which explores the cutting-edge science behind the phenomenon of channeling, and offers powerful tools to help you hone your own abilities. We are really excited to see that the Science of Channeling is already making a big impact and we have been hearing from people all over the world who have been seeking answers about channeling either personally or professionally.

The Noetic Global Gatherings webinar series operated from February, 2018 through July, 2020 and consisted of over 20 online presentations featuring experts in the field of noetic science. These webinars focused on cutting-edge noetic research and transformative learning, bringing together a dynamic collection of people dedicated to exploring a wide range of noetic topics. Since we first sketched spiritual symbols on cave walls, humans have used the visual arts as a pathway to noetic realms. As our ancestors knew, the powerful alchemy of image and imagination brings us to a deep connection with non-material reality, and allows us to access information and energy not bounded by space and time.

At long last, our continued emergence from the pandemic heralds the return of in-person convening! After returning from my first post-pandemic conference, I can personally attest to having an even greater appreciation for the energy, creativity, and possibility that are generated when people gather together driven by a common purpose. Two weeks ago, I was honored to represent IONS in Geneva, Switzerland at the annual convening of the International Leadership Association (ILA).

The IONS team recently partnered with a luminary in the field of lucid dreaming, Charlie Morley, to conduct a Healing Lucid Dream study with participants experiencing PTSD. A lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer “wakes up” inside the dream. This hybrid state of consciousness allows the dreamer to gain intentional control over the elements within the dream and can be used to transform trauma while you sleep.
