If we were to ask what the single most important service you could do for your lawn is, what would you say? Fertilization? Controlling weeds? Watering it? While all of those things are important, what if we told you there was a service that was even more vital? While a lot of people don’t realize just how important it is, aeration (followed by overseeding) is actually one of the best ways to achieve a thriving lawn.

With the autumn season comes a variety of changes. The air gets cooler, the leaves begin to turn colors, and your landscape starts to take on an entirely different look. Of course, with the fall, there is also the need for some vital seasonal clean-up that should not be overlooked. Ignoring fall clean-up will not only detract from the overall aesthetics of your property but it can do potential damage as well. By failing to clean up your property before the approaching winter, you could create unnecessary problems within your landscape.

Imagine sitting outside and enjoying your outdoor living space when you suddenly feel your neighbor’s prying eyes. It’s not like they’re even trying to spy on you. It’s just hard not to when there’s nothing blocking their view of your yard—or vice versa, for that matter. In fact, maybe it’s not that you have an issue with your neighbor seeing into your yard so much as you don’t like looking at their unkempt property when trying to enjoy your own well-maintained landscape. Whatever the case may be, privacy is important. That’s why you might be looking for ways to create more of it for your outdoor space.
Fortunately, there are many different ways to achieve this goal. The most obvious is adding a vinyl privacy fence. But if you’re looking for some landscaping solutions—either instead of a fence or in addition to one—then we’ve got you covered there, too. Here are a few ideas to keep in mind so that you can create privacy for your backyard space.

There are a lot of companies in our region that offer landscaping services.

But you don’t want something ordinary. What you want is something truly extraordinary. You want to be able to step outside of your home and be immersed in your dream backyard—with a gorgeous outdoor kitchen and patio where you can dine, a roaring fire pit to gather with your family and friends, and maybe even a swimming pool to cool off on hot summer days.

In our area, the winter season tends to drag on—and on and on.

It often starts snowing early and that cold weather seems to hang on as long as possible. While the first snow or two can be kind of exciting, after a while the frigid temperatures, gray skies, and lack of color in your landscape can all start to feel a bit depressing.

The Basic Kitchen

At the very least, an outdoor kitchen typically includes a grill and some countertops. Granite is the best material for outdoor kitchens due to the fact that it’s highly durable and can withstand the elements. As a natural stone, granite has obviously proven itself as a material that can stand the test of time and it makes an excellent countertop material that is highly scratch-resistant and also easy-to-clean. With just a good wipe down, granite is good as new.

1. A Return to the Rectangle

One of the big trends we’ve noticed in recent years has been a return to the rectangular design. While the freeform shapes have been a big trend for a while, there are two reasons we think that’s shifted. For one, you can’t put an automatic cover on a freeform pool and auto covers have been in huge demand in recent years (see more below).

SEASONAL SPRING COLOR

In the early spring, flowers like pansies and petunias are a great way to kick off the season with some beautiful color. Whether it be in your flower beds or as part of container gardens, the sign of their bright color adds to the excitement of a new warm season. Coupled with your emerging bulb flowers, early spring flowers will be your first blooms of the season.
