Our organisations are at risk of security breaches now more than ever before and doing nothing is no longer an option. We have all spent the last decade securing and improving our IT systems in an effort to protect our businesses and customers. For this reason, hackers have changed their approach, increasingly targeting staff & exploiting human error.  We now know that when it comes to cybersecurity, it’s better to be safe than sorry.  

As we bid farewell to 2023, we’re thrilled to reflect on a remarkable year that marked the 10th anniversary of cubesys.  

One of our key strategic partners—Nerdio, hosted their first ever in-person Conference NerdioCon in Cancun, Mexico a couple of weeks ago. Co-founder and CEO, Paul Heaton and Senior Cloud Consultant, George Zajakovksi had the opportunity to attend the sold-out conference as a Nerdio Platinum Partner. The 3 days were a jam-packed combination of work and play, and while we’re not going to confess how many strawberry daiquiris and pina coladas were had during this trip, we will reveal some of the awesome insights we gained from the top minds in the cloud and virtual desktop space that spoke at the conference. Speakers included Vadim Vladimirskiky, CEO of Nerdio, and Virtual Desktop leaders Scott Manchester, Kam Vedbrat, and Tatiana Ospina from Microsoft.  

As this round of the Women Rising program comes to an end, I find myself leaving with a newfound sense of clarity. Prior to the program, I had just shifted my career path to IT, and was still trying to figure out things. The program was a game changer in terms of helping me to better understand, and work on important aspects of career planning. It also allowed me to create a fabulous network of like-minded women along the way. Many of them with many years of working experience in the IT industry.
