We always have an eye to the future – not just emerging technology but our workforce, too.
At Technics, we would be the first to say that land surveying has changed enormously over the past thirty years.
At Technics, recruiting and training the next generation of emerging talent is not only important for our business but also to the service we provide to clients.
At the end of January, Technics and collaboration partner University of Surrey (Dept. of Automotive Engineering) successfully completed an Innovate UK funded feasibility study on the use of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for accurately locating Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV’s).
The Level 3 QCF Certificate is an essential requirement for our trainee surveyors, mandated as the minimum requirement to carry out excavation works at several UK sites including Heathrow Airport and the qualification standard required to undertake PAS128 compliant surveys.
As we head into month 4, work is progressing well on one of Technics’ more interesting projects: investigating how to use Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology to improve localisation systems in autonomous vehicles.
We spoke to Ben Coleman, Design Director at PPR Estates, on what it’s like to work with Technics and his outlook on the year so far.
On October 23rd and 24th, a selection of our expert team attended the 2018 London Build conference in Olympia London.
At Technics we invest in our team and support them in their development through extensive training programmes and support, as well as first hand, on-site experience. We recently sent three of our project managers and senior client manager on a PRINCE2 training course – a leading process-based, project management methodology.
We are nominated for the 2018 Surrey Property Awards – vote now to see Technics win!
