Managing Cyber Risks of Everyday Household Items: How Pioneer-360 Can Improve Your Odds

Cybercrime is everywhere – even in the most unexpected and unassuming places. Devices and equipment that you might never have even considered to be a threat could actually help in spreading malware, or malicious software. In a world where headphones, speakers, light bulbs, coffee makers, and traffic lights can spread malware, how can you stay ahead of the threats? On your own – you probably can’t.

Five billion people send and receive text messages worldwide. Texting has become second nature for most people, with reports showing that text messages are the most-checked app on your phone. FBI Warns It’s Time To Disable Your Local Admin Accounts

The FBI issued a new warning this week, and it’s one we think you should head – disable your local admin accounts. An administrator account refers to the first account created during the installation of a particular piece of software. It has full control of files, services, user creation, and other resources within said software. Essentially, it has a ton of control over sensitive data.

Cybercrime Doesn’t Have To Be Scary This Halloween

It’s no wonder Cybersecurity Awareness Month falls in October every year – online threats can be terrifying, but they don’t have to be. Partnering with an MSP/MSSP can help eliminate some of the scariest and biggest concerns organizations face on a daily basis. However, if cybersecurity is left ignored, a huge monster could come knocking down your door.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month; Are You Aware Of The Risks?

Partner With an MSSP & Stay On Top of IT

Partner With an MSSP & Stay On Top of IT

Do you have someone on staff that you pay to keep up with current news and events in the IT world? Unfortunately, in today’s environment, that would be a full-time position; just tracking updates, patches, vulnerabilities, zero-Days, and the news to make sure you stay one step ahead of the rest. Even more unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to employ someone individually to stay on top of these types of events.

A Co-Managed IT Program For Compliance-Focused Organizations

Over the last 35 years, we’ve learned a lot. Pioneer-360 has grown with the times, evolving from a programming company to the SOC 2 Type II Certified MSP/MSSP that we are today. In that time, we’ve perfected the way we do things, and the way we offer our services. Our programs have been crafted with specific types of IT environments in mind; for organizations that need comprehensive IT support, we can become your entire external IT department, and for organizations that just need assistance, we can complement the efforts of your current internal IT Staff.

AI: Staying Ahead of the Curve

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a hot topic for a while now, intriguing, and frightening people almost equally. However, recently, we have been hearing more and more about AI-enhanced cyber attacks and how they’re affecting organizations across the globe. While AI can be a fantastic tool to help automate mundane procedures, it can also become a weapon in the wrong hands, and if the target doesn’t know how to identify the AI-enhanced attacks.

Zero Trust – Trust No One

Zero Trust – Trust No One

Trust no one – that’s the basic principle of a Zero Trust mindset in the IT world. Zero Trust is a strict identity verification process that takes place across your organization and devices, protecting you, your organization, and your employees. Zero Trust is a process and mindset that Pioneer-360 implements daily, however – we can’t sell it to you.

Whitelisting Requests

What Is Whitelisting?

Over the last few weeks, Pioneer-360 has been receiving a significant increase in requests to whitelist websites that are being blocked by our firewalls at our client’s locations. Whitelisting is a cybersecurity strategy that approves a list of websites and allows people on your network to only access the approved list of websites, while blocking all others. We do this to help create an IT environment with a reduced risk, by preventing access to untrusted sites. So, why have we been seeing an increase in requests to whitelist more websites?
