Truckworx, Alabama’s premier heavy and medium duty truck dealer, is expanding its corporate operations in the Greater Birmingham Region to a newly constructed, company-owned facility in the city of Birmingham. The project represents a $6.8 million investment in capital expenditures and 52 high-paying jobs for the city.

For the first time ever, Birmingham has been recognized as a Top 10 Tier 1 Metro in the United States for corporate facility investments per capita by Site Selection Magazine‘s 2024 Top Metro rankings. Each year, Site Selection magazine evaluates metros based on corporate expansion projects meeting at least one of the following criteria: a minimum of $1 million in capital investment, at least 20,000 square feet in new or expanded facility space, or the creation of at least 20 new jobs.

Leadership Exchange is the rebrand of the Birmingham Business Alliance’s (BBA) former “Big Trip,” where local civic, governmental and private sector leaders visited thriving cities to gather ideas to bring back to Birmingham. This event is making its awaited return after a 15-year hiatus and will take place Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
