Unlocking Birmingham’s Potential: A Raleigh Recharge During Leadership Exchange

Leadership Exchange is the rebrand of the Birmingham Business Alliance’s (BBA) former “Big Trip,” where local civic, governmental and private sector leaders visited thriving cities to gather ideas to bring back to Birmingham. This event is making its awaited return after a 15-year hiatus and will take place Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. We look forward to speaking and learning from key leaders who helped create Research Triangle Park, LS Spark, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and Bridge Club.

Tech Startup CModel Data Relocating HQ From San Francisco to Birmingham

Along with Alabama Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair, the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA) is pleased to announce CModel Data Inc . , whose proprietary software helps businesses operate more efficiently, is relocating its headquarters from San Francisco to Birmingham.

With an investment from an Alabama-focused venture fund and broad-based support for its growth project, the tech startup plans to create 80 jobs as it grows its operations, which will be located at Birmingham’s Innovation Depot, one of the Southeast’s premier incubators for tech-focused startups.
