If you’re reading this, then you know that ACT has always been the name you can trust for self-storage access control and surveillance solutions. And you also know by the headline of this blog that we also offer gates and gate service. But that’s just the beginning of this exciting chapter in the world of Access Control Technologies. So, let’s take a closer look at how to make your facility even more secure, thanks to ACT.

Saturdays, what are the first thoughts that come to mind when you hear that word? For Self-Storage industry operators, Saturdays are one of the busiest days of their week. New move-ins, move-outs, overlocks on units, Saturdays seem to run the gamut of problems – and all at once.

In our daily encounters with businesses across the East and Southeast regions of the U.S., we run across all sorts of circumstances where business owners will casually share their mindset with us stating things such as “well I have cameras at my business but they don’t really work all that well, and they are not really functional.”

At Access Control Technologies, we do a fair share of standard low voltage work. We’ve encountered everything from checking a data cable drop that is not getting a link light, to running new cabling, to installing and maintaining surveillance cameras. However, we also receive a fair share of custom work requests. Below are some interesting highlights that could be beneficial to businesses experiencing issues with their gate, alarm, and security surveillance systems.

As an authorized reseller of PTI Security Systems, Access Control Technologies knows what it takes to secure self-storage facilities. With multiple factory-trained PTI technicians on staff, we not only design and install new systems but we can maintenance and upgrade any existing systems.

When choosing surveillance cameras, especially in an outdoors setting, selecting cameras that can capture imagery at all the light levels you will experience is critical. Knowing how important this is, in order to select the proper camera first we must determine the Lux rating necessary for the environment that you are intending to place the camera in.
