Hamilton Senior Center Move

Beginning Sunday, March 30, the Hamilton Senior Center will be moving all operations—including both meals and classes—to our Annex space on 111 W. 71st St. We’re putting down new floors in the center; the process should hopefully take only a month, but may end up being longer.

T. P. Balarkishnan Memorial Dinner

Over one hundred people crowded the Coffeehouse Senior Center to enjoy a splendid dinner sponsored by T.P’s family, and dance to the dulcet tones of Linwood Peel, former member of the Drifters.Executive Director, David Gillcrist spoke of his father in-law’s early community building work in Chicago, founding the Malayalee Cultural Association in 1971, and then later a Hindu association, Gita Mandalam.  The perfect tribute to a man who loved gatherings, festivities, music and dance.
