Net-Tech teams with United Way for annual Day of Caring

Washington’s largest volunteer event is Sept. 13

Net-Tech, a Seattle-area Professional Technology Organization (PTO), is proud to sponsor United Way of King County’s (UWKC) annual Day of Caring slated for Friday, Sept. 13. The Day of Caring pulls together teams of volunteers from across Washington to help hundreds of King County nonprofits with projects. The 2018 event resulted in 10,500 volunteers completing 370 projects for 225 nonprofits – a labor value of over $1 million.

HELPING TO POWER A GLOBAL MOVEMENT

The 2018 Special Olympics USA Games took place July 2018 in Seattle, Wash., where more than 4,000 athletes and coaches representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia participated. Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. ESPN broadcasted the Opening Ceremony on ABC and hosted coverage of the USA Games throughout the week.
