UPDATE: Twelve Noetic Signature characteristics were revealed through the completion of phase III of the Noetic Signature™ Inventory studies.

In the Fall, the IONS team took participants of The Science of Consciousness (TSC) conference on a journey to explore the Science of Interconnectedness. The Science of Consciousness conference (TSC Consciousness Reboot), sponsored by The Center for Consciousness Studies, is the world’s longest running interdisciplinary conference addressing fundamental aspects of consciousness, the brain, reality and existence.

IONS recently completed our annual Community Group Facilitator survey, which included input from 114 Community Groups meeting around the globe. This survey of the IONS Community Group network ensures that the IONS Experience & Engagement department has the most accurate information posted on our Community Group Global Map directory and that all groups on our website are still active.

We’re excited to welcome Steve Taylor, PhD, as the guest speaker at our ConnectIONS Live free webinar on Friday, January 22nd. Based on his recent book Spiritual Science, Steve will explain how human goodness — as manifested in qualities such as compassion, altruism and justice — is related to a sense of connection. Conversely, what we think of as ‘evil’ is related to a sense of separation. A sense of separation brings an inability to empathize, or take other people’s perspectives, and a preoccupation with one’s own desires and goals.

Thanks to the support of our donors, the IONS Year-End Campaign exceeded the $250,000 goal with over $292,000 in gifts received. On February 5, 1971 Captain Edgar Mitchell, along with fellow Apollo 14 astronauts Alan Shepard and Stuart Roosa, landed on the surface of the moon. During this historic nine hour and twenty-three minute moonwalk, they were tasked with conducting in-depth research on the lunar surface — taking pictures, leaving behind scientific measuring devices, and collecting more than 93 pounds of samples.

IONS Chief Scientist Dr. Dean Radin was thrilled to join Deepak Chopra for a live discussion on his YouTube channel The Chopra Well on December 29, 2020. His “Conversations at the Intersection of Cutting Edge Science and Spirituality” have spanned topics from cosmic resonance, to near-death studies, to photobiology.

IONS^X is the Institute of Noetic Sciences’ innovative research program focusing on practical applications of nonlocal consciousness-related phenomena. This program is studying how mental intention directly affects the physical world, and ways that our perceptions can transcend the conventional limitations of space and time. These effects are often referred to as psychic or psi phenomena.
