Our hearts go out to all those suffering as a direct result of this tragedy, even as we acknowledge that, in a paradigm of interconnectedness, no one is unaffected by what’s unfolding in Ukraine. I’d like to dedicate our time together to a humanity in profound transition, and especially to the most vulnerable among us, those most impacted by the dynamic-tension playing out between an old consciousness based on a belief in fundamental separation and a new consciousness that recognizes our oneness.

Have you been experiencing more intense, vivid, or wondrous dreams lately?

Helané Wahbeh, Director of Research at IONS, was interviewed on the Dr. Drew Show about her work on the research of channeling. 

We have reached a crucial decision point. Shifting UP to a sustainable world—or drifting DOWN to crisis and chaos—this, as Hamlet would say, is now the question. It is the challenge of our time. It is no longer a question of whether to change, only how to change. The crises we are experiencing are driving us to change whether we are willing or not. 

Have you heard about the Global Consciousness Project (GCP)? This project explores the potential existence of a fundamental consciousness uniting us all, by measuring the impact of major world events on a world-spanning network of random number generators. 

Many people have found that they can wake a sleeping dog, cat or other animal by staring at it. Some find that merely looking at it does not work, but if they stare at it with an intention, thinking of giving it a treat if it wakes up, or taking a dog for a walk, the animal seems to wake up in response to their looks.

It’s like living with a jackhammer inside my body. My teeth grate and jaw tightens. I feel the heart flutter into my throat and my stomach clenches. At the worst of times, I find myself looking out the window waiting for them to come, whoever they are. My wife would watch in concern and care, but could never understand what living with PTSD was like. I couldn’t sit with my back to any door or open space; I would jump and swear if the doorbell rang unexpectedly; I’d have random, horrific visions of my dog dying while I was enjoying my morning swim.

David Lorimer, Programme Director of the Scientific and Medical Network, joined us on March 4th to speak on the poignant topic of “Towards a Culture of Love and Wisdom” at a time when war and militarism are once again in the forefront of the news. However, many visionary philosophers and mystics have indicated that our evolutionary trajectory is towards global spiritual awakening represented by a culture of love and wisdom. David’s sense is that this is happening at the same time as divisions are increasing and that the situation requires us to be anchored in our deep center of stillness within, while also engaging in spiritual activism to support the realization of our ideals.

Did you know that there is now an NFT (non-fungible token) that was inspired by IONS? Paper artist Yulia Brodskaya was invited by Time Magazine to participate in their “Slices of Time” project,  a collection of NFT art representing specific moments in time. The idea behind the project was to look at what has happened in the past and what the future may bring.
