As we journey through life, we accumulate cherished memories, valuable assets, and meaningful relationships. Each of us has a unique story to tell, and it is natural to wish for our legacy to endure beyond our time on this planet. However, it can be easy for many of us to put off crucial decisions about estate planning. In an effort to encourage people to embrace the power of their legacy and ensure their wishes are honored, IONS is proud to support national Make-A-Will Month. 

Over several years, a series of experiments were conducted by IONS to explore possible mental interactions with photons. These experiments were motivated by the quantum theory concept that a “nonphysical factor” (i.e., consciousness) was required to cause the transition between quantum potential states and classical actual states. What does that mean? It means the consciousness and/or the mind has the capacity to influence matter — also known as Mind-Matter Interaction. The experiments used a double-slit apparatus (which is used to track the trajectory of light) to measure whether a person’s focused attention on perceiving or perturbing one of the two photon paths changed the photo (light) trajectory. Overall, the results of those experiments suggested that focused attention does appear to affect the pattern of light.

We are in exciting times—in the midst of a global awakening of human consciousness. But there’s also a lot of change that can be overwhelming. That’s why indigenous wisdom can serve as a guiding light and help us remember who we are and why we came here. 

In June, we gathered our community to explore the individual and collective paths available to shift global consciousness at our 50th anniversary conference, BEYOND: Global Mind Change in Action. The four-day event was met with overwhelming positive feedback and enthusiasm that we continue to reflect on with gratitude.
