Internet Explorer (IE) 11 is approaching the end of its era and will soon be fully retired. If you weren’t aware, there will be two retirement phases – the redirection phase, which will see devices being redirected to Microsoft Edge from IE after the 15th of June 2022, and the Windows Update phase, which will permanently disable IE.
When BitLocker is enabled on a Windows device, the recovery key can be saved to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), a USB, a file, or even printed. End-users can access this key for their owned device through Azure AD or by going to their device properties.
Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) has been updated to include a new preview in Entitlement Management of automatic assignment policies. With this feature, Azure AD dynamically changes users’ access across various groups, Teams, SharePoint sites, and apps based on any user attributes modifications. This can include switching between departments, going on leave, or leaving/joining the company.
If you use any Microsoft cloud solution, you are also using Azure Active Directory to manage users, groups and devices.
If you still have on-premises Active Directory you probably are synching your directory with Azure AD using the directory synchronization tool Azure AD Connect.
If you are using Office 365 and/or Azure AD and have an on-premises Active Directory, you already know that you can synchronize your on-premises directory with Azure AD using Azure AD Connect.
A new Azure Active Directory administration role is available – called Windows update deployment administrator – to delegate Windows Updates deployments through Windows Update for Business.
As you know when you enable BitLocker with Intune you have the option (highly recommended by the way) to save the recovery key into Azure AD.
As you know, Azure AD comes with administration roles to allow you delegate administration tasks with the least privilege.
