Dear Valued Martz Customers,

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding over the past six weeks as we navigate the impacts of the I-80 detours.

At Martz, we remain committed to minimizing disruptions and keeping you informed. I am personally monitoring the situation daily. While there are promising indications that the westbound lanes may reopen in approximately two weeks, the eastbound lanes are expected to remain closed for at least 6 to 8 more weeks.

We have carefully evaluated all viable alternative routes for our buses traveling to and from New York, including I-78. At this time, the most efficient and reliable option remains the detour via Exit 34.

Although we have implemented what we believe to be the best overall plan, each day presents new challenges. To help navigate these changes in real-time, our drivers are utilizing tools such as the Hammer App for commercial vehicle routing and Google Maps (which integrates Waze traffic updates). Even with these resources, all available routes are experiencing significant congestion, and in some cases, maintaining the current route may still be the most efficient choice.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide the safest and most reliable travel experience possible under these circumstances. We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available.
