They desired a larger master bedroom and bathroom, so we delivered a beautiful home addition that they will love for many years to come.
The new master bathroom vanity is a stunning focal point, featuring Bertch Bath cabinets with Osage-style doors and drawers in a sleek Graphite satin finish. This offers both modern elegance and durability. The hardware was carefully selected and supplied by our homeowners, adding a personal touch to the design. The countertop is Hanstone Quartz in Specchio White with an eased edge and matching Specchio White backsplash, providing a clean, bright contrast to the darker cabinetry. The rectangular Caxton sink in white is paired with a Devonshire widespread faucet in polished chrome, blending timeless style with functionality. A 24×35 mirror and vanity light, both supplied by the homeowner, complete the space with a cohesive, custom feel.
This master bathroom features a luxurious freestanding tub and gorgeous walk-in shower that blends classical elegance with modern design. The shower walls are adorned with 12×24 matte Brecchia White tiles, accented by warm grey grout that adds depth and warmth. A sleek 12×28 recessed niche, centered on the back wall, is lined with Bliss Midnight linear tile, providing a contrast and stylish storage solution. The shower floor is finished with coordinating 2×2 Brecchia White tiles for a cohesive look and added slip resistance. A ⅜ inch frameless glass enclosure enhances the open, airy feel, while the polished chrome Devonshire faucet adds a touch of refined sophistication, perfectly complimenting the overall design. Our homeowners are ready to take a warm soak or a refreshing shower in their brand new space.
We’ve selected a Kohler Highline standard white toilet that has its own designated space in the bathroom, and the stunning wall accessories were provided by the homeowner. Additionally, the main floor tiles you see are 12×24 Breccia White tiles with warm grey grout installed parallel to the doorway. This Breccia porcelain tile collection inspired by onyx simply transformed the space into a work of art. Installing tiles parallel to the doorway creates a clean, visually appealing transition as you enter the room. It enhances the sense of flow and aligns well in a rectangular room. It can also make the room feel longer.
One feature we simply must highlight is that we relocated the laundry area from a cramped upstairs closet to a newly built laundry room at the rear of the house behind the garage. This not only freed up valuable space upstairs but provided a more functional and spacious area for a growing family’s growing piles of laundry. With extra room gained upstairs, we were able to really create a gorgeous master bedroom, making it a serene retreat with a large footprint and thoughtful design touches. The result is a beautiful, restful space that combines comfort and style.
As part of the house renovation we replaced all of the existing siding to not only refresh the home’s exterior appearance, but also improve insulation and durability. At the same time, we completely redid the roof using high-quality Colonial Slate shingles, which add a classic, timeless look while offering excellent weather resistance and longevity. We also installed a separate HVAC system, which allows for more efficient temperature control across different zones of the house–an especially valuable upgrade for improving comfort and reducing energy costs in a larger multi-level home. These updates significantly enhance both the aesthetic appeal and functional performance of the property, now with a second story addition.
