As Technics continues its recruitment drive and the development of its staff, it is delighted to announce the recruitment of four key roles and the promotion of Kevin Durkan to senior surveyor in the land and building survey department.
Matthew Clarke joins as assistant administrator. Recruited as part of the planned expansion of the Utility Report department he will support the team in delivering desktop studies of statutory plans from utility service providers for key client projects.
Matthew said; “I’m extremely excited to be joining Technics at a time of growth. The team is strong, professional and friendly and I look forward to receiving the training I require to progress a long career with Technics.”
Peter Morrison joins the project management team in the building and land survey department. Peter brings a wealth of experience in hydrographic surveying. His previous role involved ROV and AUV operations, on-board systems calibrations and pipe line installation for pre and post construction surveys.
Peter said; “Technics currently offer pioneering and innovative survey services. With my experience in UAV operations and recent pilot qualifications I can help add UAV services into Technics’ portfolio of services.”
Kevin Durkan has been promoted to senior surveyor in the land and building department. Since joining Technics in November 2014, Kevin has developed his skills in measured building surveys and setting out. He has also played a key role in training and nurturing Technics’ trainee and junior surveyors.
Kevin said; “I’m looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities this promotion will bring. I hope to pass on my knowledge and experience in the industry and help with the progression of junior members of staff.”
Arthur James joins as a trainee utility surveyor having graduated from Aberystwyth University with a 2:1 in Economics. He has a passion for the outdoors, analysing data and planning how a project is conducted on site with the latest technology.
Arthur said; “Whilst looking for my next move from university I was determined to find a company that is passionate about its continuous growth and development and keen to drive its employee’s and the industry along the way. Technics seemed like the obvious choice.
Since joining the team my understanding of surveying has expanded significantly through the extensive training that is encouraged by management and carried out relentlessly by the surveyors. I feel privileged to be part of such an enthusiastic team, a firm foundation from which to advance my future career. With the company’s contagious passion for their projects, I cannot help but be delighted with my new position. I look forward to growing alongside Technics in this dynamic industry.”
Ian Williams also joins Technics as a trainee utility surveyor. Whilst in his final year at Keele University, Ian contacted Technics in response to the graduate recruitment page. Now with a 2:1 Hons in Geoscience, he is keen to apply his learning to our new IDS Stream system.
Ian said, “Technics is committed to providing clients with the best results using the latest technology and I’m looking forward to working with the best utility mapping technology on offer.”
