January 2014 NPTE - PT Final Exam

Hey everybody,

It seems like time is just flying these days.  It’s hard to believe that we’re already in the holiday season and that the next NPTE is just weeks away at this point.  The next NPTE is to be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.  I believe that many of those who will be taking the January exam are likely retaking the exam and are quite familiar with the process of getting ready and registering for the exam.  Perhaps this blogpost will serve as a reminder to get everything put together in time for the next exam.  The key dates to remember are these:

• December 23 – You must have registered and paid for the exam on the FSBPT website.  At the same time, you must submit an application for licensure in the state of your choice.
• After receiving the Authorization to Test letter from the FSBPT, you must then register for a seat at a Prometric Testing Center by January 15.
• The NPTE will be administered on Wednesday, January 29.
• Scores will be reported to the jurisdictions on February 5, and the free score report will be available on February 12.  Most of the time, the jurisdictions will report to their respective candidates whether they passed or not.
