To reduce risk, GCs should work with a staffing firm or alternative legal services provider (ALSP) to connect them with remote legal help.
Companies should also ensure that remote attorneys only onboard through the organization’s IT infrastructure, using VPNs to log into a central server and workstation.
For permanent hires, providing hardware is essential, while contractors can work on their projects without accessing the organization’s broader system.
Remote monitoring is also essential to ensure adequate monitoring despite remote work.
